Island morning

Last night we kicked off the Camden International Film Festival with a screening of the film convention. Moved swiftly to the secret VIP party location where we hosted 2 bands live visuals and so so much more. Party wrapped around 1:30am headed home to import images and recharge. This morning I was up at 5am packed a lite kit and headed to Rockland to catch a boat to Metinic Island to meet up with students from Matinicus island working with the Farnsworth. The students worked with scientists to learn more about the migration of song and sea birds. The trip was quite amazing. Upon my return the CIFF madness started again burning DVDs, running from venue to venue, setting up the filming of the panel points north. Great things are happening in Maine.

Evidence show @ Asymmetrick Arts

Last night we had a pre-festival kick off event in Rockland at the NEW Asymmetrick Arts space. Featuring the work of Jared Cowan, Jonathan Laurence, Ethan Kiermaier, Maile Colbert, Raphael Diluzio and Bethany Engstrom, Live electronic audio love preformed by Greater than Less than. the show will be up for the duration of the festival open from 2pm-8pm, pop in have a look.

CIFF09 Intro behind the scenes

So yesterday we started the shooting the intro for the Camden International Film Festival, we had a 20 foot yellow ribbon, fiber glass poles, string, glass, markers, sandwiches, tourists looking perplexed as I told them we were training for the Olympics ribbon dancing venue. The shoot went quite well and we are back at this morning. Be on the look out for more more more!

Well the closing reception of play will be happening this evening [6-17-09 | 5-8pm] at asymmetrick arts so come on out and join in the fun while it lasts. One another note would you look at all the stripes… it looks as if PLAY has evolved quite massively from the last update. again do be shy make your way to Rockland town and leave a mark.
